Bean Of The Month - September 2023

We're absolutely thrilled to introduce our September Bean Of The Month, Hugo Ollie, who is already stealing hearts left and right at 7-months old. Hailing from the picturesque Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Hugo's family is nothing short of remarkable, with four golden retrievers, a tuxedo cat, and his 11-year-old big brother, Ronan. That's quite a unique family dynamic, and the love between the boys and their pets is simply heartwarming.

TWB: What is your baby's name and age? Where are you from, and can you tell us a little bit more about your family?

@dailyhuglife: Hugo Ollie is 7.5 months old.  We live in Lake Macquarie, New South Wales with 4 golden retrievers and a tuxedo cat. Hugo has an older brother, Ronan, who is 11 years old. Talk about a gap! The boys adore each other and Ronan is a great help.

TWB: What is your favourite product from The Wee Bean and why?

@dailyhuglife: We love the Organic Cotton Onesie with the Boba pattern. It is so soft on Hugo’s skin, washes really well and we love Boba in our house.

TWB: What are your must-have items that you would recommend for first-time moms

@dailyhuglife: A really thick and easily cleaned floor mat so that you can comfortably play on the floor with your baby.

TWB: What is your favourite activity with your baby?

@dailyhuglife: Playing as a family on our floor mat, encouraging Hugo to discover new things while having a laugh, especially when our dogs join in!

TWB: What are the most baby-friendly places to go in your city?

@dailyhuglife: As Hugo has on older brother, he gets taken to all sorts of places (his first food was agedashi tofu and ramen). Lucky he is a little dare-devil! We live near beautiful beaches that have shallow pools for babies to paddle in too.

TWB: After a long day, what’s your favourite way to unwind?

@dailyhuglife: Reading Hugo books in the rocking chair.

TWB: What's your best tip/advice on motherhood?

@dailyhuglife: If you are breast-feeding and your baby is not settling with you, hand them to someone who is not breast-feeding to rock your baby to sleep. It works every time, as they can not smell your breast milk and want to feed instead.
